Hello, there! I’m Nakamura (President and Representative Director of AC
Sanctuary) posting this article from the Head Office… This is Part 19 of a
series of articles on Restomod Project for CB1100RC (with the serial number
RCM-282) commissioned by the Dutch company CMS!
前回で、ピストンと シリンダーまでが 組み上がったエンジン・・
Here is the engine we finished as far as the pistons and the cylinder
installation go, as I wrote in my previous post…
ＣＢは シリンダースタッドボルトの 錆により、シリンダーの脱着が 大変になる傾向が
ある為、今回 対策として、スタッドボルトに 黒亜鉛メッキを 施しておきました
Have applied the black chromate plating this time to the cylinder stud volts
to make sure that the rust on them will not create a problem likely to occur
particularly on the CB when attaching and detaching the cylinder.
続いては シリンダーヘッドに、バルブを 組み付けます
In the next is to install the valves in the cylinder head.
シリンダーヘッドは、エンジン性能を 左右する 大きな要因・・ バルブを支持する
バルブガイドは、純正品よりも 少し大きな物を 製作して 入れ替えました
もちろん、バルブの密着性を 良くする為に、シートリングの研磨も 行っております
A cylinder head dictates the engine’s power potential, so what we did was to
replace the genuine factory valve guides, which support the valves, with
what we made on our own, which are a bit larger than those.
Certainly, never forgot to polish the seat rings to improve adhesiveness of
the valves.
リフレッシュされた シリンダーヘッドを、取り付けましょう！
Now let’s install the refreshed cylinder head!
タイミングチェーンの ガイドスリッパー・・
左が これまで使用していた 物で、右が 新品です
The guide slippers of the timing chains… In the left are what were used
before and in the right are new ones.
カムシャフトのエッジを、丁寧に 面取り処理 致します
Carefully deburr the camshaft’s edges.
シリンダーヘッドに、カムシャフトを 組み付けて・・
Install the camshaft in the cylinder head…
バルブと カムシャフトの間に 必要な、バルブクリアランスを 調整します
Adjust the valve clearance, which is vital to the engine performance, between
the valves and the camshaft.
この後 カムカバーを 被せれば、エンジン完成！
ＲＣＭ－２８２ ＣＢ１１００ＲＣ 次回は 車体にエンジンを 搭載しますよっ！

Installing the cam cover, the engine will finish up! The next is to mount this
engine onto the body of RCM-282 CB1100RC! Hello Mike, CMS, Netherlands!
The project is moving right along. We will give it an extra push in the
following processes, so you will get a clearer picture of how the whole
